Parents or Guardians

Kids' most important teachers are their parents or guardians. Your parents or guardians are likely to know a lot about the area where you live and the places you visit. They will help you learn how to be safe. This website is a great place for them to learn more about the 3Rs of Explosives Safety. They can use the stories, activities and other materials here to help you learn and follow the 3Rs of Explosives Safety.

3Rs of Explosives Safety

  • Recognize- when you may have seen ammo and that it is dangerous.
  • Retreat- do not go near, touch, move or disturb it, but carefully leave the area.
  • Report- tell a parent or a teacher and ask them to call 911, or tell a police officer.

Parents or Guardians: This website has additional 3Rs resources for adults and children. We encourage you to look at the 3Rs Clubhouse link below, which contains activities and stories designed for children to review 3Rs Explosives Safety practices in a fun and engaging manner. This website also has 3Rs materials you can download and print. For more details, check out the Educational Resources tab in the drop down menu.
