Historic Context for Late Pleistocene/Early Holocene in the Mojave Desert
Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Beach lacks a strong historic context, making difficult the stewardship, Determinations of Eligibility for the National Register, and management of cultural resources, as required by Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act. This report is a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency study identifying current data gaps and systematizing data collection to facilitate developing and tailoring future research designs for early site management.
