Water Quality Management

Course Description

The Water Quality Management course is an Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT)  ISEERB course for Navy and DoD students.

This course provides discussions of technical and regulatory issues about water quality compliance and is appropriate for installation level environmental personnel.  Major subject areas are wastewater, storm water, and drinking water.  Specific topics include permitting requirements; wastewater treatment systems; discharge sampling, analysis, and reporting; sewer system evaluation; and storm water collection systems.

Drinking water topics include source water assessment, consumer confidence reporting, water vulnerability assessments, wellhead protection, and backflow prevention.

Personnel Eligible

The course is intended for military Active duty or a civil service employee working in air compliance whether at regional or facility level.
