This course is part of the Navy’s Environmental Restoration, Management and Compliance programs and is designed to provide knowledge and tools to begin integrating spatial analysis of environmental site data to develop more effective and cost efficient site sampling plans and to better characterize site risk assessments. Attendees will learn how to develop and implement an up-to-date environmental data management system using ESRI ArcGIS software program through hands-on computer-based exercises. Specifically designed Restoration and Compliance case studies highlight GIS’s cost-effectiveness in data management, transfer, and decision-making.
Navy Environmental Restoration, Management and Compliance personnel who routinely manage installation restoration data as a basis for decision making. Navy/DoD contractors working in support of Navy Environmental Business Lines (EVBL) may also attend on a space available basis with a personal invitation from a Navy sponsor.
